
Welcome to Ferdinand Collective Qualifications, an online platform offering funded Level 2-5 apprenticeships which are designed to encompass our core philosophy of personal as well as professional growth.
As a team here at JF Collective HQ, we’ve all come from various different backgrounds to find our career in football. From professional players to business operatives, coaches helping on the pitch since high school and employees undertaking a complete career change- our backgrounds are diverse and essential in representing the variety of skillsets that helps build career pathways within the industry.
Our qualifications are designed to help you plot your career pathway through the football industry and beyond. Providing our people with different skill sets - with employability at the heart of what we do.
These qualifications are available to those aged 16+ and they aim to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in your chosen career.
- Suitable for those with coaching experience and currently working within the sports industry, with any England Football qualifications up to and including UEFA B.
- There are three pathways available to the sport coach.
- High Performance Coaches will develop athletes and players in high-performance settings, including those on talent or development pathways, national or international programmes, professional or podium environments.
- Community Sports Coaches will motivate and engage people of all ages and abilities in community sports and physical activity settings. Community sport includes local authority, charity and national governing body of sport community initiatives or clubs.
- School Sports Coaches will collaborate with teachers to develop pupils’ mastery of psychomotor skills by applying a whole child approach in their coaching. They work in all categories of school and registered childcare environments.

- Complete within 13 months (including EPA) to receive your equipment bundle.

Upcoming qualifications
- Ideal for those who have completed their EE Playmaker by England Football (this is free!) and just starting on their coaching pathway.
- Our Level 2 coaching qualification promotes, delivers and coaches fun, inclusive and engaging activities that help whole communities to change their behaviour, adopt and keep to a physically active lifestyle. Community Activator Coaches are more than activity and sports leaders. You will be equipped with the specialist knowledge needed to effectively work with one customer group (such as inactive teenagers) but also be knowledgeable about other inactive customer groups whom they may be expected to work with on occasion. When competent, you will be experienced working with a range of different communities and all kinds of customers who are likely to be defined as inactive, sedentary or not doing enough physical activity in their lives.

- Course duration: up to 18 months. Online with on-the-pitch CPD with Ferdinand Collective.

- First cohort due: September 2025
- An opportunity for those looking to extend their skillset from the pitch to the gym, or even set up bootcamps, Strength & Conditioning bolt-ons and Functional Fitness for players. Diversify your services and start building your clientele through the design and provision of creative and personalised exercise programmes and instruction, nutritional advice and overall lifestyle management.
- Personal Trainers will motivate clients to positively change their behaviour and improve their overall wellbeing by providing specialist, tailored advice within their scope of practice, while always being aware of when to refer clients to relevant appropriate professionals for specialist information and guidance (e.g. physiotherapist, registered dietician, medical specialist).

- Course duration: up to 15 months. Online.

- Be your own boss, step out into the world of business management or develop your skills for confidence as you navigate a new job or career change.
- Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation, specific responsibilities and job titles will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed will be the same in the world of business management.
- The FC Business Operations qualification will include creating, managing and delivering operational plans, organisational strategy, projects, leading teams, managing change, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring.
